CENTAURI STAR
The SAAL racing team braved the sales ring after racing on the Thursday of the Cheltenham Festival and were delighted to have purchased Centauri Star

Centauri Star is a gorgeous athletic 4-year-old chestnut gelding by Diamond Boy (the sire of multiple Grade 1 winners including L'Homme Presse and Impaire Et Passe). He is out of a winning French dam and a is the brother of the five-time winner and Grade 2 winner, Lambro and winners Press Conference and Captain Bocelli.
You can see from the picture below, he is a very good looking 16”2 horse, he has scope and athleticism to match. Despite being very green and unseating his rider at the 3rd fence on his debut, Centauri Star put in a lovely performance 3 weeks later when only beaten 4 lengths into 2nd in a maiden at Lingstown earlier in March. He jumped really well, quickened nicely and battled all the way to the line.

The analysis reported:
“CENTAURI STAR (IRE) unseated early on debut at Lisronagh last month. The Diamond Boy chestnut is a half-brother to Lambro, a Grade 2 winner over hurdles when in the care of Willie Mullins. Taking closer order from three out, he was left second at the next and while he had every chance on the run to the last, he just couldn’t catch the winner. He’ll be a threat to all wherever he turns up next.”
